Nice little town

Well I finally got my husband to go overseas. He was hooked the first day. Vancouver, Alaskan cruise, ending in Los Angeles. Hubby also got to drive a Mustang convertable while in Canada and a brand new Harley in Los Angeles.

Nice little town

We had to go to shore on the lifeboat.  Another place where there were some tours offered but it is nice just to wander around.

This is the first time that Andrew realised the Russian connection with Alaska.  There is a church here that Andrew went and had a look in.

It seemed like most of the women from the ship were in the stores and most of their husbands/boyfriends were all sat outside waiting.

Because of Sitka's location, it is not unusual for the locals to leave their car in the car park and get a ferry out for a couple of days. It did seem strange seeing a sign in the car park '72 hour limit'  understandable though.
