Well I finally got my husband to go overseas. He was hooked the first day. Vancouver, Alaskan cruise, ending in Los Angeles. Hubby also got to drive a Mustang convertable while in Canada and a brand new Harley in Los Angeles.

Our ship has docked and we wait out turn to disembark. Not too painful. The wait for the taxi was painful though, 1 hour. We got a great driver though. It was too early too check in to our hotel so we left our luggage their and went for a walk. Eventually we found somewhere to have lunch. Back to the hotel and they let us check in a little bit early. We asked the consierge if there was a late highlights tour that we could go on. He said there were bus tours but they had gone, or there was a chauffered town car, so we said that would suit us. After making a number of calls to drivers who were all busy, he found one that was not busy and had just returned from holiday and could use the income. It was arranged, the price that had been quoted for a town car was good but the driver didn't own a town car, he only owned a stretch limo! It was a great 2 hours! Then we went to Factors Famous Deli, on Pico, for dinner. We went back to the hotel to have a few drinks and met up with a couple from Fresno. It was a fun night.

Great Atmosphere
We decided to try out this cafe/deli for dinner, with the recommendation of our Chauffeur as it was our first night and had not had time to see what was around.
The deli has been at this location since 1948 and has been run by the Markowitz family since 1969.
We walked in and were immediately greeted and taken to a table. We had pickles placed in front of us while we checked out the menu.
Can't remember what we ordered but the food was good.
In the few days that we were in the area we went for either Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. There was a lovely outdoor area where we had lunch on one of the days. The staff was friendly and even gave me a t-shirt from their deli. Although we didn't buy anything from the "deli" section where they have take away meals, it looked good.
They also sold souveniers.Including T-shirts.
The meals were good and always plenty on the plate.
I would recommend that you try it.
