Adelaide to Vancouver Well we had a long trip from Adelaide, with the Sydney stopover and then Los Angeles. Finally, we arrived in Vancouver! No real hassels getting through customs. We went outside to where we were to get the bus that was to take us to our hotel. We were told that the bus ran every half hour so we thought that it wouldn't be too bad. However, while we were waiting for the pre booked bus to arrive, we saw lines of taxi's that we could have got into and even worse, stretch limos that were taking people downtown for $50.00 We waited for over an hour for our bus to turn up and then the driver was in a bad mood because he was late and we should hurry up and get onthe bus. We had been travelling for about 28 hours and didn't need this attitude. We kept quiet and got on the bus. We just wanted to get to our hotel! How annoying was it when the driver said that he couldn't take us to our hotel as it was out of his area but would drop us off somewhere else to be picked up by another bus. We won't ever do that again! So when we finally arrived at our hotel in Vancouver we had a nap. It was just enough to avoid the jet lag and get us into the time zone. Then it was dinner time and a bit of a wander round before hitting the pillow for the night.
