Whistler, "firehall"
We picked up the Mustang convertable this morning and took a quick drive to Stanley Park before heading to Whistler. It was a beautiful drive. A good road and the scenery was gorgeous. After driving around Whistler for a while, we went to the shopping centre and were seeing what was available to eat. We couldn't decide what we wanted when a local came and asked if she could help as we looked lost. We told her it was food we were looking for so she suggested the tennis club. She was very helpful and gave us directions. We followed her directions and couldn't find the tennis club. We did however find their local firehall. Andrew went to the door and spoke to some one there and we were invited in. They had an exchange fireman from Noosa! He was on duty so we sat in the fire hall and had a chat and a cuppa. Turns out he was brought up in Adelaide and his grandmother still lived in Kapunda where we had lived for 7 years. Andrew was happy, he found out a few of the differences in how things worked there. They then gave us directions to the tennis club so we went there for a late lunch. It was worth it. We then went back to the village and bought a few things before heading back to Vancouver. We took our time enjoying the scenery. Glad we did it. By the time we got back to our hotel it was after 7pm so we ordered our dinner to be delivered to our appartment.
