Catalina Island

We got off the ship as early as we could. It looked pretty. We went to the visitors centre and booked a boat trip, so that we could look at the fish through the glass. It was a really good cruise, they would throw fish food to attract the fish, would have liked to have done it at night as well because they say that is when the lobsters come out. After that we went on a bus tour which was very interesting. When we got back, we met up with another couple from our cruise ship and went to hire a golf buggy to drive around. Andrew thought it was great driving around and filling the other couple in on some of the facts that we had just been told. Again it was another lovely day. Interesting transport there. Can understand why it is a popular weekend get away from LA One of the interesting facts was that Australian gum trees had been imported and planted to help stop soil erosion. So far away from home but with a taste of home!
