Punta Gorda Airshow Parking lot
It was a Friday when morning as the PLAN fell into place. The motorcycle was back from the shop. The Old School Motorcycle Camping check list is complete. “ON THE Road AGAIN” It is now Sunday at 6:41 pm I am at a KOA camp ground in Clewiston Florida. I will post the pics now & write the blog latter.
11:30 pm 4-06-08 I just got blown out of my tent, heck of a storm. It was a GREAT Light Show! I’m in the laundry room playing TB. I will sleep on top of washing machines 1-2-3 It could always be worse. I will check the tent in the morning, not a lot to do until then. The most important thing is the Bike is ok!!
The morning after the Great Storm of 2008.
I got up off of washing machined #’s1, 2, & 3 cracked my back twice, it was still dark outside so I decided to clean up. After a nice warm shower walked back to the camp site expecting the worst, as I got closer I said a little prayer for Tent. Tent has been part of the family sense 2000 has been all over the U.S... The wet crumpled pile looked no better than it did in the middle of the night. I very carefully lifted one appendage at a time. I was & am still totally amazed Tent was not broken into a 100 pieces. 1 small tear in the top cover, it is not the first. So we are “ON THE ROAD AGAIN” As everything is still dripping wet I am in a motel on the east side of Lake Okeechobee.
