My last vacation day was Friday since I now had my Mass. nursing license and would be starting my new job the following Monday. I came across Battleship Cove in my AAA book and a Massachusetts vacation planner. After trying to figure out a way to arrive there without taking the crowded highway of 95, the police I asked torted "Why do you want to do that?!" It would be the easiest and quickest way according to him. I guess it was. Battleship Cove is located on Mount Hope Bay in Fall River and has the world's largest naval ship exhibit. I was late getting here and they were closing in an hour so I attempted to see everything quickly. On display was a Huey Helicopter, the USS Lionfish and the USS Joseph P. Kennedy JR launched on July 26,1945. The helicopter went to Vietnam twice. The battleships I toured were:

-USS Massachusetts- engine room, main galley, a couple memorial rooms, and many displays

- USS Lionfish

- USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr.

- National PT Boat Museum

It was a very interesting place and I'd like to go back to see what I missed. You can also see the Hiddensee, which served with the Federal German Navy and then transferred to the U.S. Navy. For anyone interested or wanting to tour you can find more information  here
