Goldstream ... on Vancouver Island, B.C.
Goldstream Provincial Park, a place you can park your car and visit/walk along the river, enjoying the beauty that surrounds you!! You'll first be taken in by the greenery everywhere ... it is so wet that everywhere you look, even in the winter months there is lots of moss, mushrooms (don't eat), brush, and trees everywhere ... with the smell of dead Salmon, surrounding the trails, of course this brings the Seagulls and the Bald Eagles to feast on the rotting flesh of the fish ... YUMMY ... Again with this being my second time to see a Bald Eagle, I was smiling from ear to ear, so taken by it's beauty and wishing I had bought a larger lens for my Nikon D40 to get close close shots of this majestic creature ...
My sister took me to a souvenir shop there, but when there I only bought a post card, though I really wanted a book on the Bald Eagle that they sold there .
.. I pondered and pondered and felt, 'this is just a want not a need' so I left the book and when we both went out I continued taking photos but I was jeolous that my sister bought the book for herself ... but again I told myself I could always buy it at a book store ... and I forgot all about it.It' is amazing how different Western Canada is as compared to Eastern Canada as far as weather, animals, and plants ... so much here in this country of mine but so far ... I see now how my sister easily left Ontario, Canada to live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada ... to her there is so much more to discover each day
Well before I left my sister's house I surprisingly found that Bald Eagle book in my suitcase ... my younger sister fooled me; I was surprised of course and thanked her ... do visit Goldstream oneday and be sure to bring a high-powered lens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
