The Cowichan Lake Area ... so beautiful ... 20 minutes west of Duncan ... Vancouver Island
Another day in another area of Vancouver Island ... riding down the road with my family they plan to take me to the area surroundings Cowichan Lake ... as we drive we all know there's a possible snow storm heading our way, but we don't let snow stop our trip ... and my brother-in-law and sister want to show me as much of the island as they can on their days off ...
I sure can tell it's looking wet outside ... and driving through an A&W to get hot, nutritious, cheap drive-through food on this colder day ... why not
I filled up the tank for my brother-in-law ... he's driving me around the area ... I appreciate his driving me and later bought him a Starbucks Coffee Mug ... turned out this day was going to be more adventurous than we expected.
We passed the Cowichan lake sign and continued driving, the snow was lightly covering the road, nothing 'to go home for' so we continued down the road ... wow, the evergreen, spruce, and maple trees are all looking better as we continue driving; the white coating of snow throughout the forest looks gorgeous ... we still continue ... of course I have no idea where they're planning to take me to see
Actually it turns out they going to show me where all clear-cutting was happing in Victoria ... turns out what I thought (that there was no clear-cutting here) was wrong ... one picture I took they took down a very old tree, you you tell by the circumferance of one treetruck I took ... in the same are I took a picture of all the clear-cutting and left over logs (hopefully they were picked up) and another thing I saw and wondered, why all these trees cut but one young tree was left ... it's just odd to me ... either way when I saw it ... I was always hoping that their intentions are to re-plant all those precious trees ...
