In March 08 I had to go to Yokosuka on business, but the trip also afforded opportunities to visit Tokyo and join Jenny for leave in Jenny's birthplace--Okinawa. My objective in Tokyo was to ride the biggest Ferris Wheel in the city (Japanese: ε±•θ¦§θ»Š (tenransha) or 倧観覧車 (daikanransha) or (kanransh) at Kasai Rinkai Park. Our time in Okinawa was magical, with good weather, beautiful scenery/sunsets/beaches, and reunions with many friends from our time stationed there 2003-05.

Tokyo, Yokosuka and Okinawa--Japan

Business trip to Yokosuka with daytrip to Kasai Seaside Park θ‘›θ₯Ώθ‡¨ζ΅·ε…¬εœ’  (Kasai Rinkai Koen) in Edogawa-ku District, Tokyo, Japan to ride the 117-Meter tall Ferris Wheel (largest in Tokyo, 11th largest in the world).  Then on to Jenny's birthplace of Okinawa, staying in Yomitan and Nakadomari.

No but the tea ceremony on Okinawa is a "must see" at least for Jenny. There is a big buddist temple south of Tokyo towards Yokosuka visible from the Narita JR line train. You can visit the WWI Japanese battleship at Yokosuka. ~Jeff
