I haven't found many downfalls to traveling alone, but aside from my feet, I have very few pictures of me posing with the sites. I've basically given up on asking strangers. Either I randomly continue to find the worst photographers on the planet, or they just don't give a shit since it's not their photo and they don't know me. Whatever the reason, I have yet to get a post-worthy picture from this method and was very excited when Bre was equally keen on the picture day idea.
On Sunday, I escaped Old Town for a bit and hit up the Tallinn beach with a couple guys from the hostel. Our little international group consisted of Daniel--the Californian who can't surf, Adrian--the English guy with good teeth, Aaron--the Spaniard who can't salsa, and me--the Seattleite that doesn't drink coffee. And by the time we got to the beach, we had also gained Gregory. I'm not sure which French stereotype he contradicted, but he did peel down to his skibbies to go for a swim, whatever that means. We were able to enjoy the sun for a few hours before narrowly evading a downpour of rain. Still, any amount of beach time is worth it, and it was a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday.
