All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
April 27, 2008
My life at the moment is more consumed by work than it's ever been. After weeks of establishing the routine: work...sleep...shower...work, I go to bed with walkie chatter still ringing in my ears. I've had a total of one non work-related dream, and even that had coworkers in it. So, frankly, it doesn't count. In the midst of all this movie madness, I'm doing my best to factor in a few beers and moments of relaxation. For sanity's sake. We've toured the bars of the plaza and escaped into the surrounding hiking trails. It's even become a bit of a weekend tradition to hit up a nearby spa for massages and hot tubbing. My body is beginning to forgive me for standing all day as a result.
Santa Fe is better known for its art scene than nightlife and the crowd seems to generally be a bit older. It's possible I just may not have discovered the hot spots yet. I'll have to keep exploring...in the name of research, of course. Luckily, it's been easy to find other crew members willing to research with me (usually by the names of Morgan, Cayley and Forrest) and we manage to create some fun in our free time; however scarce that may be. And every so often, in glorious but fleeting moments, we even talk about something other than work.
