Decent hotel on the Jomtien Beach
Found this one by accident. The motorcycle taxi we took from the bus stop to the beach dropped us of here. Hotel is used a lot by Chinese and Korean tour companies.
Location is right across from the beach. Many food vendors along the main street which is good as I was not impressed with the food here. The beach is not as good as many places in Thailand but it is where the locals relax at. Many Thai families were here when we arrived enjoying the beach. Close to many things but not the beer gardens or go go bars that you find in the main part of Pattaya. A good place for families.
The lobby gives the impression this is a fancy hotel but really it is not. The rooms are basic and even though the have nice balconies that for some reason all look over open lots next door. To bad because the hotel has a very nice plaza with two very nice pools that should be the focus of the rooms not the garbage strewn weed invested next door lots.
For the price this a very good place. I wonder why the rooms are not as nice as the public areas? Also kind of weird that the hotel is built so far back from the beach. That does seem to be a the norm in this area as all the nice hotels are built several hundred meters from the beach so maybe there is a good reason for it. Pattaya is not so far away though we did not try to go on this trip.
