Etosha National Park
I have three minutes to write about my first game drive!
Lucky Anna and I got the truck’s front seats today. Seeing animals for the first time in the wild is like what I’d imagine seeing dinosaurs would be like: you see them so many times on TV and magazines, and finally, they’re right infront of you, and you can’t believe it. Watching giraffes grazing just outside our truck window was really magical. I have heaps of great photos – I’ll be really upset if I lose them all!
A few of us sat around the waterhole at night ‘til late, watching the animals come down to drink.
The best part of our stay here was seeing a bull elephant come right up to the fence. I can’t explain how exciting this moment was. He was right infront of me – a wild, bull elephant! He was so close that I have photographs of his eyes.
Etosha was hot but not as dry as Sossusvlei.
This trip is so cool, I’m really not ready to come home. Luckily I have four weeks to go still!
