White Island, Camiguin
July 15, 2008
My friend Happy recently spent a vacation in Camiguin and she sent me some photos. My most favorite picture is the White Island. It is a popular sand bar in Camiguin and it is two kilometers off the coast of Agoho, Mambajao. The island offers a picturesque view of Mount Hibok-Hibok and Old Vulcan. Though Happy said that there’s not much to do in White Island compared to Mantigue Island, I still can’t help but wish that I can ride an airplane going to Camiguin so that I can take a picture of White Island myself.
I want to win the lottery so that I can have a world tour. But then again, I haven’t even bought at least one lottery ticket yet. Hehehe. All I can do for now is to make a blog so that I can post a picture of White Island and daydream about it. There are just too many islands in Philippines and I’ve been to less than 1 stinking percent only out of 7107 total islands. Some of the islands that I wanted to visit are: Camiguin, Camotes, Malapascua, Apo Island, Siquijor, Boracay and Palawan. It’s just so unfair that foreigners find it cheap and easy to visit these beautiful islands in less than a month while most Filipinos can’t.
But soon, I will be in Camiguin together with my friend Larong and we will be eating crabs hopefully before this year ends.
