Davao City with College Friends

My friends and I went to Davao last October 12-15, 2007. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our many sponsors:

1. Luz' Family for board and lodging.
2. Mr. John Ybañez of Maligaya Taxi for being our tour guide.

October 12- Friday.
Excited for the trip, Lanay, Happy and I arrived in the airport for our flight to Davao City. After an hour, we arrived in Davao and saw a couple of military men with their guns. It is for military visibility to prevent the bombing of Davao International Airport to happen again. Marnelli arrived ahead of us from Singapore. We went straight to the parent's house of Cathy and promptly eat the delicious meals prepared for us. e.g. humba, fried pork ribs and roasted fish. After a while, we went to Jack's Ridge for some sightseeing and picture taking.

October 13 - Saturday
We went to the office of Eden to buy our ticket and ask for advise for the best possible transportation in going to Eden. We met "manong" (John Ybañnez, Sr.), our official taxi driver as well as tour guide. Eden Park is all about fresh cool air, clean surroundings with lots of flowers, plants and trees and more. We went horseback riding, tried the indiana jones swing, and even fishing. We didnt go to Garden City of Samal due to time constraints. Our dinner are the fishes we caught at Eden which is Pinaputok na Tilapia. Fish Tilapia stuffed with spices and veggies and wrapped in banana leaves.

October 14 - Sunday
Made a deal with manong again to take us to many places. First stop is Malagos Garden Resort where we watched the interactive Bird Show. Next stop is the Philippine Eagle park. It is one of the largest eagle in the whole world. Then we went to the Japanese Underground Tunnel. It is one of the bases of the Japanese during World War 2. The last stop is the Crocodile Park. Due to heavy rains, the crocodile show was cancelled that afternoon. At least we get to have our pictures taken with snakes and the baby croco.

October 15 - Monday
Woke up early around 3:45 AM for our flight back to cebu. When we arrived in Cebu, I i went straight to the office to work. I will get my luggage on my way home in Happy's house. All in all, it was a great experience.
