This morning we had to be up again fairly early in order to get the free pancake breakfast in time. After that we didnt really have much to do.... At 10am we checked out of the hostel and then put our bags in storage for 2 hours until we caught the bus to San Fran.

In the mean time i went on the internet but not much was going on so decided to buy a phone card and call home....I spoke to mum and dad and then rang Nan in Spain which was good as i havent spoke to any of them in so long!

Eventually it was time for us to board the mini bus bound for San Francisco. It boasts being the cheapest, quickest and most comfortable way to get between the 2 cities, and was all of those things except maybe the latter. This was unfortunate, as the driver explained, normally the bus is half empty but today it was completely full! Never mind. We had a few stops on the way and got to see a lto of California mountain ranges and farm land.

Half way we swapped buses and were taken by the head of the company the rest of the way. He explained how at the start of March he will have buses with reclining seats, DVD players and internet!! Great! He was nice though and joked straight away about the cows! haha He told us to look right at the cows in 'heaven' and we were very confused for a while until he told us to look left at the cows in 'hell' Over the hill we saw thousands of cows kept in small enclosures for as far as we could see! It was shocking....

The trip in the end didnt seem too long surprisingly and we arrived at the hostel at around 7pm. I am fast realising that my iPod is my best friend. The weather here is a litte cooler which i like as it means i can wear my coat and i enjoy it when its a bit 'nippy.' One can have too much sun you know.... and it feels more like winter being in the cold.

We checked in to our hostel which is so cool! Its really Victorian like a lot of San Francisco with a sophisticated reading room, free standing baths and huge bay windows....its great. AND we have a 4 person dorm with only us in it! We the quickly headed out to the shops as Michaela desperately needed a coat for tomorrows excursion to Yosemite National Park where it could be snowing and will be cold. Her and Whitey returned with her coat and a pair of new boots. We got some food and i got a bath!! WOOO HOOO! The best one in so long, and the headed for an early night as we are up at haf 5am tomorrow!
