The flight in the early hours of this morning was horrible really. We were all really tired from the night before anyway, and the wait in the airport so not getting real sleep made matters worse. I tried to watch 'The Queen' but gave up after 45 minutes as it was a little hard going for 3am! I did manage to sleep a little but not much, this seats are uncomfortable, im too big and the girls we knew were sitting behind us and one kept kicking me!

Eventually we arrived in Los Angeles and caught a shuttle bus to our hostel. We were made up to be here as we have been looking forward to this so much! It was great as the 'Hollywood' sign came into sight and we settled into our dorm room. This hostel is a little uptight compared with others we've stayed in....considering in the Cook Islands he didnt even want money off us until the last day, but here we needed our passports to check in!

Anyway we dropped our bags and headed off on a Runyon Canyon sunset tour. Our guide, who was our age, took us along Hollywood Boulevard giving us information about differnt places and where films had been shot. We then entered Ronyan Canyon, a hilly park which is famous for celecrities walking their dogs. We walked up high and watched an incredible sunset over downtown L.A through the smog, and then walked higher for an even bertter view. It was incredible. We also got talking to a girl from Cardiff who was really nice and very tanned from being in Fiji for 3 weeks. On the way down, i was talking to her about Ryan Giggs, as we walked past one of the stars of the X-Men films, the invisible woman i think, or the one with mind powers...that was cool.

When we arrived back at the hostel, we wanted to get some food and explore a litte more, so as it was quite cold i got my coat!! woooooo! Then we headed off. We looked through lots of shops and then took pictures of some of the famous people's names in the stars on the Walk of Fame outside the Chinese Theater.

Back at the hostel MIkay and I headed  up  to the packed bar  for the comedy night. We caught the las t few comedians  and some very really funny  , the last one in particular was hilarious ending on a suicide joke involving scuba gear. One chinese man called Yoshi just told really offensive jokes and was not funny at all....didnt get any laughs.

It was a great day and im really excited for the last leg of this trip.....
