Watch out devoted readers.....this one's going to be heavy! Emotions were certainly running high today for a number of reasons and it was a sad and happy day. We woke up after a lie in and Whitey and Loren came down to Erin's where we had pancakes and watched some of the video recording we have done recently, on the tv. It was very funny. We then headed down to Macca's, i drove again, to see how Amanda was. She wasnt to too bad but still a bit shaken. After a while in Macca's we went to a bottle shop to buy a couple of last minute presents, before going back to Macca's where Amanda gave me my presents. I opened them back at the house....she gave me A Night At The Roxbury DVD, a Beville's Sale t shirt, a ring and a Loyola College (her school) AFL jersey. She also gave me an eight page letter she had written. ha. It was emotional though and i got sad again. I was sad last night because it was the first time in eight days that Amanda and i hadnt watched Tv in my room and then ended up falling asleep either arguing or laughing. I was sad. After opening my present from Amanda we all went up to Lorens house to exchange presents. This again was very sad, although made us very happy at the same time. Maria gave Whitey adn i an AFL ball each which everybody signed and we gave out our presents. Maria ended up crying because we were going and it nearly set us off. I miss everybody at home but this is a lot easier becuase it will never really feel like Christmas to me. Maybe if i were somehwere cold then it would feel like Christmas and be a lot harder but this heat just isnt right so its a little easier. However, yesterday those people were getting upset that we were going and giving us presents it felt the most like Christmas it ever has this year for me and it made me so happy and so sad that we were leaving. We left Loren and Whitey to say their teary goodbyes amnd went to Erin's where i said mine to Amanda. We had to sort out the problem of not having any way of getting back to Sydney for New Year after the cricket and ended up havinf to spend $200 on a flight at 6am from an aiport an hour away. I spoke to Dan while i was on the Internet and we were arranging to meet up for his birthday in Melbourne... i cant wait! It sounds like he is doing a similar thing to what i would love to do, go home after his trip, work for a couple of months and go back away. I defintely want to do that now, i love everyone at home but want to make the most of this year. Travelling is the best, now my only dilema is where to go! South Africa, Australia or somewhere new? We'll see. The afternoon flew by and before we knew it we had all said goodbye for now and Rick was taking us to the train station for our 12 hour train journey back to Sydney..... This was without doubt one of the best weeks of my life and im truly devastaed its over.
