That was my Vietnam trip last year. I was in Saigon most of the time since I have family there. But I travelled a bit more into the south and then north through the mountains in Da Lat, to the beaches Mui Ne, Nha Trang.

Alex from Bali

Bangkok was the first of two stopovers before Vietnam. Those travelling further were adviced to hang around for an hour or two. Well, for a few of us it's looking up for smoking rooms. :D I met Alex on my way. An indonesian guy, 25 years old, living in Bali. Cool, I thought, u don't know anyone in Bali and u need to go there sometime. He's been working on Ibiza in the summer time and was on his way home.
We spend our time talking about his summer work, Bali and Germany. We took a photo and exchanged emails. A new friend and a new place will be explored soon...

It is always amazing how a chance encounter often leads to a lifetime friendship. That is one of the greatest things about traveling.
