Just for a break in all the diving we decided to get on a rafting trip. I don't think it's worth to come over to this place for the rafting, it's about a 2 hour trip downriver with just a few exciting descents over waterfalls, but still it was nice enough. Oh, except if one of your raft buddies plants the butt of his paddle in your face of course, as San can testify :P
Ths dive site has black vulcanic sand on the bottom and is home to some of the weirdest fish I've ever seen. It's like all spikey or hairy fish made this their home. Lost my dive computer here, so first one to find it can have it. It's probably still beeping and telling me to ascend ;-). This site is a must if you happen to be in the neighbourhood!
By the way: don't trust the ice cream vendor on the quay there, I think he makes his weekly income just by overcharging the few scuba tourists there.
Last day means: the snorkel baptism for graduates... And what it boiles down to is that there will be a reason for almost everybody (and if there isn't somebody would make one up) to get a set of goggles on and a mix of 'Chap Tikus' (a dodgy palmfuit moonshine) and orange juice poured down the snorkel. It's pretty hard to drink that stuff while you're not able to breathe, I wouldn't be surprised if Amnesty International would classify this as outright torture... we just call it fun at the expense of others :D
