We started out in the heart of the city with our last drive down into town, with very little daylight, but found the roads leading to the coast. So on this adventure we looked at the map and saw the road "Corniche du President John F Kennedy" ran along the coast and that's where we wanted to be. We followed the signs, got to our destination and just drove the entire length of the "street".
After 1 trip down we pulled a u-turn and headed back to the "Tourist" areas and found a decent place to eat on the beach. If I could remember the name I would gladly write a review, but unfortunately I have no clue. We also marked points of interest of our own on our map and made plans to come back down to Marseille with our swimming trunks next time.
We must have walked 20 miles that day on top of all the driving @ 5mph, but it was a really fun day of scouting and sight seeing. A good way to take in the whole coast in just 10 hours. We felt like we had seen a lot, and more importantly made a plan for our next trip into the City. We finished our mission and the sun began to set so we made our way back into the City scouting for record stores and music shops.
We did eventually met up with some DJ's are a local record shop that told us of a Party that coming weekend, but that it was a "secret underground show" and the only info he had was a phone number to call on Friday night for more instructions.... He gave us the number and we set off to Aix-en-Provence to get back to our hotel and ready for dinner, since it is a 3 our event in France it takes clean clothes and a shower.
