Well......every monday after Easter lots of the people enjoy a day off from their work.......and what do they do on that day............I think 90% of them is visiting the Ikea. This year it was pretty cold and snow was expected but I decided to visit the " Beekse Bergen" anyway. In the morning the skies were blue, a little sunshine and yes.....it was cold. But a nice warm winterjacket will held us warm.
The first thing you walk in to after arrival is the place where the monkey's hang out. My little girls already speak a few words, she also know the word " Aap" (= Dutch for monkey), so the first thing she does after seeing the monkeys is screaming very enthousiastic " Aap.....Aap.....AAAAP.............Aaap" . So in just a very short time everyone in the area knew what she just has seen.

After the monkeys we visit the area where the elephants are held, the only elephant she's has seen untill this moment was an elephant in a storybook.........these animals here are just a little bit bigger..........that's also what she thought I guess after seeing the suprised look in her eyes :D
We also visited the lions, the were just being fed........my little angel calls the lions " GRRRRR". I thought she would be impressed by them, but not at all......
After visiting lots of other animals it was time for our lunch and at the end of the lunch she was so tired she couldn't keep her eyes open and felt asleep. So thats her way of telling me that is was time to go.......which was a good deciscion because when walking back to our car it started snowing, just as the people from the weatherchannels predicted.
So instead of stranding in one of the many trafficjams in front of Ikea stores on a Dutch highway we had a lot of fun with some (wild) animals.
