to conquer the world you have to experience it first

taupo - looks like zurich

only a short ride away from rotorua is taupo & lake taupo - the north island's queenstown since you can do all the typical nz adventure activities here... the town itself is pretty but very small and the lake looks like lake zurich (not necessarily a good thing though hehe) although a bit bigger

the bus drive took a bit longer since we stopped at some volcanic parks where we could see less impressive geysers (which are faked by putting soap in it... great...) and very impressive volcanic mud pools... more impressive than the ones in bolivia but very touristy with loads of people

unfortunately the yha hostel here is absolutely crap, 3 nights here is not a nice thought - not very clean or spacious and the staff is represented by an arrogant & below zero iq jerk at the front desk

today started bad as well: my scheduled skydive was delayed with unknown future because of bad weather... while i'm writing this i'm hoping for the clouds to disappear.. while i'm uploading this it got delayed even further to 5:30 with a small chance of actually happening... ah well, abel tasman and queenstown would be nice locations as well :)

even worse would be bad weather for the tangorira crossing tomorrow but we will see... weather is really volatile around here

euphemy says:
Sorry to hear about the bad hostel and not being able to skydive. Hopefully it will get better.
