damn was i hangover today... had a bunch of those high vol% beers without having eaten dinner and i didn't take it too well... can't remember how i got back to suk, where the email address note in my pocket comes from and woke up with a wellington-style hangover...

of course i ran out of painkillers and had to pack my bags after i woke up at 7 a bit confused about the whole situation. checked out at 9 and looking for a cab that navigates me through the horrendous traffic to my new location. after 4 failed attempts i was on my journey.

after checking in here and a nice second breakfast at burger king i was ready for the sightseeing day with nick & emma. we headed for the grand palace / wat phra kaew sightseeing hotspot.

beautiful if it wasn't for the heat... unbearable, worse than iguacu. it was funny to be in that area as just 6 months ago when i've read the horror stories about bangkok this was supposed to be the place where all the scams & crimes happen. i noticed nothing, guess i graduated from the school of not worrying during the last few weeks hehe

dress code is strict, long pants, sleeves etc. who didn't comply was sent to the dressing room to get one of the free for rent shirts/pants to cover up. how nice in that heat...

i visited emma & nick's fitting session for their handtailored suits at the 'a.r. mani' tailor shop next to khao san road... sounds bad, and judging by their adjustments it probably is. i still wonder where i should get my suits as i've heard bad things about fabric quality in vietnam and worse things about sewing quality in thailand... :-)
