after not being able to do the nazca lines flight i was quite eager to do the ancient pre-inka cemetery tour near nazca so that not the whole day was "lost" on sitting by the pool
afraid of the sun i prepared myself with many litres of water in my hands and sun protection on my nose... but it wasnt even necessary, a very strong wind blew over our heads when we were walking from hut to hut looking at the old graves.
although it's kinda touristy how they've rebuilt everything and prepared the bones etc it was still pretty impressive and the scenere with the high mountains surrounding the flat area with the cemetary is very nice.
because of the no-rain property of the area the mummies are very well preserved and a 1000 year old man was showcased in a glass box still with skin & clothes
the night was spent in nightbus from nazca to arequipa and was much more comfy than expected.. very nice transfer indeed.
so now we are in arequipa, which is 2500m o.s. and after a siesta i'm hiding from the sun that's burning down pretty strong. not much to see here though, but i'm surprised again to find adsl & accessible usb ports in the first internet cafe i tried
