the manhattan trail
January 7, 2007
inca trail? bah, do the manhattan trail!
i walked at least as much as on the first 2 days of the inca trail and my feet are hurting a lot more... but the reward is much bigger: a lot more to see (even though the girls are boringly dressed, see yesterdays entry...) and the food is much better!

apropos food, either im lucky or ny has a huge amount of great restaurants
yesterday i had lunch at 'snice, a vegetarian sandwich & salad bar near greenwich village... very trendy decor and people and gorgeous food... and the best, ive had my first ny celebrity spotting in it! malcolm gladwell (the hip author of blink & the tipping point, in case you didnt know him) was working at one of big tables... at least i think the crazy hair guy was him hehe
today i was walking around the east village (where i have already spent last evening, it was CROWDED) and found this funny looking thai place called pukk... design: science fiction meets green, food: spicy & gorgeous again! and vegetarian again, there must be a causality

notice the fancy sake drink next to the food
after food i enjoyed the movie laberinto del fauno in a trendy indie cinema with loads of trendy east village new yorkers in the audience... great movie btw!
ah and how could i forget, i played the nintendo wiiiiiiiii at the nintendo world (rockefeller center)... my wrist is still hurting from shooting ducks, im so gonna buy one of those things when i settle somewhere
