my last day was spent rather untouristy... switched hostels in the morning into the red palm across the street... which is great and so secret, they dont even have a sign at their door :-)

so for accommodation in kuala lumpur, here's the choice in the golden triangle:

stylish guesthouse with snobbish guests & staff - number eight
laid back backpacker style guesthouse with fantastic staff and err... laid back guests - red palm

went on to rip some dvds off their huge collection, fetched my die hard 4 tickets at suria klcc while combining that 15 minutes food march with a proper burger king visit... note, malaysia is the first country in se asia to feature free refill for their drinks at burger king, usa style, i celebrated by emptying their coke supply hehe

went back later to watch die hard 4 which is pretty bad ass... the screenwriters watched 24 and thought that old johnny-boy should top jacky so they let him take down a helicopter and fighter jet, singlehandedly and without a weapon... it also features a kung fu asian bad-chick and evil computer hackers, always a great combination. not as good as die hard 1 or 3 but definitely worth a visit. bruce still kicks ass!

everyone was queuing for transformers (about 45 minutes waiting time to get my ticket...), strange, as the show the day before at the imax was half empty and their screen & sound system is impossible to top in a mall.

ah yeah, i also climbed the kl tower... i like high-rise buildings so that was a must do... looks like the tower in toronto to be honest, but took a pic i quite like:
