back to civilization
April 27, 2007
the second day in muang ngoi was much better than the first - no more
feeling sick but slightly feeling bored... it is a really nice little
village, very relaxing, but it is also quite a bit boring (probably
because there is no power or internet ehehe)

so i decided that i have rested enough and am ready for civilization again! well, laos civilization that is - kind of like europe, only 200 years behind

just kidding, luang prabang was my next goal - a historical, picturesque city - french influenced but hey, no city is perfect... at least there will be some nice bakeries & cafes around i hope
there are tons of french tourists around in laos... what is going on there? now that their country is going down the drain they try to relive the good old colonization times? hehe
another factor that made me leave muang ngoi was the roosters... every morning at about 5 an army of 10 - 20 roosters held their morning singing contest - not nice if you have paper thin walls around you
