(almost) back in hong kong

ahh it feels so good, almost like a bit of home, to step foot on an airport you have been before. i have to transfer flights here in hong kong to get to bangkok and can spend 3 lovely free-wireless & not free-burgerking filled hours at the hong kong international airport. i would love to go into the city and spend some days here again but i am maxed out on segments for my rtw ticket

but anyway, had a great day yesterday in shanghai, met some great new people at the hostel, was in a terrific mood coming back from hangzhou and am totally back to 150% travel-optimism and so ready for bangkok!

couple of people coming down to bangkok on april 10/12 so i will probably hang out around bangkok for that period, also because there is a 'we throw water at each other on the streets' festival starting on april 12 that i don't wanna miss (wet tshirt contest anyone? harhar). so depending on how much i like bangkok i'll plan to stay there or go to pattaya (sex-tourism watching, not participating! must be fun) and some relaxing days in a isolated beach hut at ko samet... i dont know yet, maybe just go east anyway because i'm hungry to move around again!
