Today was a nice, relaxing day. We left the hostel and found a nice breakfast of fruit and yogurt at a local grocery store. Unfortunately, while we were eating it, Jenn spilled the yogurt on her shirt, so we headed back to the hostel so she could get another shirt.
We then decided to take the morning off, so we played a game of monopoly. Once the game was over, we were in danger of being kicked out of the hostel (it closes during the day), so we headed out.
Cinque Terre is a set of five small villages on the Italian coast. They are linked by a set of hiking trails of various difficulties and by train. We are staying in Manarola.
Today we took an easy hike to Riomaggiore down the via del amore, the lover's lane. It was a fun walk, and we particularly liked how the waves would violently crash against the rocks below the trail. After looking around Riomaggiore, we rode the train back to Manarola, where we took a nap.
For dinner, we picked up some bread, cheese and meat from the grocery store, found a bench on the coastal edge of town, and watched the sun set.
