Spring 2002: MAUI

I was looking at old pictures from when I was in high school and I came across my pictures from my trip to Maui on spring break 2002.  Oh the memories!  I was part of a college prep TRIO program called Hawaii Upward Bound (HUB) at Leeward Community College (LCC).  This trip was all paid for through this program and the only thing I had to bring was spending money.  I liked Maui a lot.  Despite the cold temperatures (and the winds didn't help at all), Haleakala (or "House of the Sun") was my favorite part of the trip.  The view was nice from up there and the sunset was a nice way to end my trip at Haleakala.  Although I prefer to visit places that are very far away from Hawaii, I hope to visit Maui again some time soon.  So, here are a few pictures I've taken on this trip.  ENJOY! =) (I know this blog is suppose to be about my home island of Oahu but there's only a few pics of Maui I'm posting so I'll just put them all on this blog =P).
