I spent a really nice day visiting with my sister and enjoying my home town of Bryn Athyn; one of the most beautiful places in the world I think, in Northeast Philadelphia. If you're every in the area, you should check it out; we have a gorgeous cathedral, and some amazing architecture.
Had a really wonderful time; the weather was perfect, and the air was cool and crisp. The leaves weren't changing as much as they were further north (as I moved further in my trip) but it was still lovely; you could really, really feel fall.
It was just a month after 9/11, and the drive up from Virginia had been very impactful for me; there were signs and banners hanging over almost every overpass with patriotic messages, it was very sad. It was still very fresh at that point, and this became a real theme for the trip, I saw this everywhere I went.
