Hongkong Metro has a special line to the airport... but if u r on the budget, u should avoid it. There are cheaper ways to get to town.

And the town is awesome, first of all, it's awesome for it's nature all around and for its skyline. Awesome aslo for it's narrowness. There is so less space and so many ppl living there that some parts of the city look like rats nest. Especially in Kowloon u might feel like a rat - and i'm not talking only about the metro tunels and stations (although here u will have that feeling for sure, so many ppl going in all possible directions, like a river of ants) but first of all the houses, high blocks built so close one to another that there is actually no need to make windows there. Narrow paths between skyscrapers make u feel like a rat in the canals. So that was my first impression when i arrived. On the other hand there are nice places like the Hongkong Island itself, close to Central or Admiralty station or Tung Chung.
The story of Hongkong metro is as follows:
Amy wanted to join us on the trip to big buddha in Lantau island, and coz she didnt need a day pass, she bought just a single ticket to and from Tung Chung. But after the trip, she wanted to join us for some meal, and we had an appointment with Zoe in Central station, but Amy had a ticket only to Tsim Sha Tsui. Nevertheless we went to Central, coz there was no time, Zoe was waiting. We wanted to try our chance, and besides on one of the day passes, we had, there was still some time to use, so it shouldnt be problem. But the ticket gates didnt let us through. I used all the tickets we had, but they got blocked. So i let RJ go out of the system and wait, and i took the tickets and Amy and went to the passanger service point at the station, showing them tickets (it was 5 or so) and pointing at Amy, who stuck at the gates. They checked all the tickets telling me they all expired, but i was talking and talking, that they are good, at least two of them have to be good (which was the truth), coz we bought them in the morning. And the woman gave us two new tickets, so that Amy could get of the metro. Tsk, tsk, tsk Amy, it's not good to cheat on metro, the more - coz it was just one station ahahha ;) so it was maybe not that big cheatting, right?
