Homeward bound...

So it’s the morning after the night before.  As usual I seem to be the only one who can handle my booze and I’m up bright and early (well before ten o’clock at least) and leaving everyone else to battle with their hang-overs I popped round to the café for a major fry up, despite it’s over priced nature!!

Once everyone else began to emerge from their slumber it was decided that after a bit of a feed we should go for a walk to blow away the cobwebs so off we set around the lake in the damp and cold...

After trudging about on the slippy rocks that pass for the beach for a bit it was decided that this was about as good as it was going to get so we gave up and set off home.

The return journey was pretty uneventful - we hit the same traffic on the other side of the hill out of Glossop, saw a man in a top hat in Glossop and passed a sign advertising lab dogs for sale (presumably you can stock up on them there!)

And finally it stopped raining...

sunsetrosebud says:
We had the experience once of going camping on a mountain top with 9 people in a camper for 4. We left the desert in bight sunlight and headed up the mountain which got stormier looking every minute. By the time that we got to the top it was pouring, which it did the whole weekend and as we came down off the mountain 3 days later we came back to sunshine and a beautiful day. If we had known that it was only raining on our mountaintop we would have come down sooner and camped somewhere else, but who knew?
