VEGAS TRAVBUDDY MEET UP "PART 2" @ THREE ANGRY WIVES PUB & CHERRY

OMG it’s only 3pm and some of us are tired from hiking red rock canyon. We are half through the meet up. we need some red bull to get through the night. We are troopers we can do it. I was rushing Tracy (TRE69) and Jennifer (JENN79) to get ready. I needed to be done and ready by 4:45pm and pick up Matt (mattrilla) at his hotel. I think i need caffeine.

 

I was making sure I had everything.  My check list: travbuddy table sign, name tags, sharpie, TB award gift and attendance list. I needed to be early this time.

 

We all picked up matt, we went straight to the three angry wives pub. As soon as we got there, our spot was reserved. We got the whole lounge area to ourselves with 4 TVs to watch the UCLA vs. Memphis game. Matt and the girls ordered sodas, bowl of fries and angry nachos.

Then of course Will (w clemmons) one of the guest of honor appeared. He is always punctual. I knew he would be there. Too early to drink, mainly everybody just drank water and sodas.

 

I put the “travbuddy” sign on the table or the table near the entrance. I wanted everybody to see it when they walked in.  We all took turns taking a picture with the sign. It is now my new profile picture. I had everybody write their name and screen name on the name tags.

 

Then, nancy (fancynancy) arrived. I thought she was somebody else. I talked to her on the phone few weeks ago. She missed the last Vegas meet up in March. This is the first time I met her. She sat down near Will. I was grabbing for my green bag of goodies. Then my attendance sheet is not here. Damn it I brought my UCLA hat but not that. We talked for a bit. Then Sal (sincitytraveler) and RJ (rj1982ster) arrived.

I noticed Sal had the cake for the occasion. It was kept a secret to the travbuddies. I wanted to surprise everybody what Sal had done. Then Sal brought a gift bag for Will and John. I asked Sal to get UNLV hat for each of them. Then Sal brought a guest, he was carrying the cake. I asked him if he is Sal’s brother. He said no I am Sven (svenman99) from Germany.  OMG how embarrassing, He could pass as Sal’s brother.  I told Sal what happen. We both laughed. Sven described to Sal what he looked like. He said that he would look like Sal’s brother. HAHAHAHA Sven was thinking the same and then there are 8 TBs.

Sal is the best he came up getting a sheet cake with the TB logo and have "vegas meet up april 5th farewell wil and john". sal is my lieutenant. he rocks. he has been a good friend. he has been helping me in background to make this TB meet up a success. LOVE YOU SAL :)

 

Then, shortly thereafter, kaycee (kayceedawn) arrived with 2 friends.

WOW she is one tall woman, with heels she is about 6’2. She was friendly. We gave each other a hug. She was happy to come. She lives in Vegas as well. This was my first time meeting her. Then, Sal took me aside. He picked up some cards for Will and John. I took care of the people signing the cards and the TB award.

 

Then finally, James (pearcetoyou), Jillian (jillianj) Joy (pvtjoy), and harriet (africancrab) arrived. Woo hoo they are ready to party all dolled up to go dancing afterwards. Then there are 13 TBs.

 

Then I had to knight James into my army. It was a simple ceremony. He bends down in one knee. I said my speech while I held the ceremonial knife from one shoulder to another. I knight thee SIR AW. You swear your allegiance, loyalty, honor, and protection to QUEEN CW….me :) then we do a shot of grey goose together.

It’s simple but the task is not.  Just another reason to drink and be merry with friends.

 

NOTE: THIS IS OBVIOUSLY AN INSIDE JOKE TO THOSE TO WHO KNOW

 

Everybody was having a good time in the pub. Our waitress Deb was very nice and helpful. I was outside with James signing cards. Then finally Heinz (jdax57) arrived. He lived further but he made it. I finally got everybody’s signature on the TB award. I told Sal about it when he came out. They asked me what he was doing after the pub. i said we were going to go dancing at cherry at the red rock hotel. Heinz and Sal looked at each other and said HUH, WE DID NOT KNOW THAT. Then I told them there is ross right behind you guys. You can buy a button down shirt and shoes. They both drove to ross to buy tops and shoes.  I guess this time Heinz does want o risk not getting in this time.

 

Then I went back inside to chat with the TBs.

  i waited until Heinz and Sal comes back to do the TB award. it was 7pm and where is John?!!??! I txed him. I knew he was working that night and he was going to be late. He txed back saying short on people trying to leave ASAP, I hope he comes soon cuz I wanted to do the cake and RJ was leaving to do homework.

 

Then I get a txt from Alice (alicegourmet) asked if we were having fun. I just called her instead. I talked to her for a few min. then I asked everybody to say “HI ALICE”.  She was happy to hear all of us. Then I passed my celly to joy, James, Tracy and Matt.

 

30mins later Sal and Heinz came back. I was ready to do the TB award. I called Sven to stand next to me. I told everybody the story about the “MOST FURTHER TB” award. Sven is the winner, flying in from Germany.  He is the proud owner of a pink betty boop Las Vegas shirt with all of our screen names and names.

We knew was the winner. I guess Matt was saved. Sven was a good sport. He wore the shirt with honors all night. He had a feeling about this award. GOSH he is on my friend’s list he should have known. Sven too bad : P :D :) WOW so many camera flashes were going all over the place. We were all laughing and taking pictures. 

 

I don’t know what lead to this, but, kaycee and I both stood up next to each other and we hugged I was right on her chest. She was about a foot taller than me. Then matt and guys had their pictures taken. We were teasing Matt how short he is compared to all the guys.  then we asked kaycee to stand next to Matt better yet. Have kaycee carry Matt. We are all laughing so hard and taking pictures in the same time. It was funny. I think I took one of best angles. That was one of the best.

We all hung out for awhile mainly because of john. I just brought out the cake anyway. I gave Will his gift. The look on Will face was classic when I showed him the cake.

I have never seen a biggest smile on his face. Everybody loved it. We all took pictures of the cake and Will holding the cake. AWWWW too bad John was not here, he one of the guest of honor.

 

The only people who were drinking liquor were james, joy, and sven.  They started early.  i had one grey goose only because of the knighting ceremony. Then RJ went home. I only talked to him for a few mins. That is ok he lives southwest from me.

 

Then I heard Will is going to see cirque du soleil KA, a very artistic show in Vegas. He was going by himself. Then Sal said he would go with Will. Then Jennifer and Matt went also. I am glad Matt will watch KA. You got to watch a show in Vegas once. Will get a discount as well. Then Sven went with them as well. Cuz, Sal was his ride back to his hotel on the strip. Sven was not dressed to go to clubbing.

He would ride back to the hotel and when they are done with the show pick Sven up. But, that all changes when Sven’s gf called. She had other plans for them in the evening.

 

It was a pleasure to meet Sven. He loves watching American TV shows. As a matter of fact, when I first met him he was wearing a SEATTLE SEAHAWKS hat and shirt. I thought he was American living in Germany, his name was a clue that he wasn’t DUH!!!!! He was friendly and outgoing. He was taking pictures all night. This was my first time meeting him.

 

Then kaycee and her 2 friends left as well. She had other plans for the evening. She is a funny, friendly, and loud like me. Her and I will be dangerous hanging out together. I hope to hang out with her again soon.  We seem to have similar things in common.  She is also from CA. the OC to be exact.

 

This is why I needed my attendance list.

I noticed Vinnie (vinnd) as not shown up yet. I met him at the LA meet up last week. I txted him if he was still coming. he replied that he will be there in 15mins with 4 friends. There was 7 of us left, James, Jillian, Joy, Tracy, Nancy, Harriet, Heinz and me.

 

Then I received another txt message from Melissa (melissa919) that she was coming, she just finished dinner. I was happy she was coming. I did not think she would. She was also going dancing with us at cherry at the red rock hotel.  

 

Some of the TBs were hungry. They all ordered appetizers. I did not eat. I just drank water to whole time.  The food there was good apparently. I chatted with Nancy, Harriet and Heinz while they ate.  Then james bought all of us a round of grey goose. i won’t be able to drive for about an hour. I just needed to sober up to drive to the red rock hotel which is 5mins away.

 

Then Vinnie and 3 friends arrived, Bryan, Brian, and Larry. They got a drink and sat down and chatted with us. Then a few minutes after that, Mellissa arrived. It was a small enough group that I introduced Melissa to everybody. She was greeted warmly from everybody. She ordered a drink and chatted away.

 

It was already 10pm. no john, no txt, no more late TBs coming. Which is perfect, cuz we needed to be in the club by 11pm. We all caravanned to red rock hotel. Some of the girls needed to change. We all wanted to show Heinz and Melissa Harriet’s and James’ room. He has never been seen the inside of the red rock hotel.
