It's a Wednesday and Yuefan and Alan are suppose to work today. What does that mean? I get to venture off into downtown and kill some time!
We woke up around 7 AM to get through the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago. Once I got off the train, I needed to grab a bagel and hot coffee since it was below 15 outside. I rushed to the nearest newsstand I could find and grabbed a newspaper to catch up on some current events.
Since I couldn't stand being outside any longer, I ran to the nearest McDonalds I could find and wolfed down a Big Mac with large fries. I wanted to do some more walking around the central square. As I was walking, I was pulled in by one of the local ABC reporters to ask me some questions. I responded as promptly and politely as I could, but the details of the interview were kind of cloudy.
After killing time in Borders and heading off to my meeting with TD Waterhouse, I ventured off into the Sears Tower and took a short tour for leisure. From a tourist perspective, if you ever stop by Chicago, make sure you head on over to the Sears Tower and take some pictures.
So I've been hearing about this place being famous for its deep dish pizza, so once Yuefan got off work, we decided to head on over to Giordano's. We ordered a large pizza (which turned out to be a mistake). I could barely finish two slices. Weak, I know, but this was a godly amount of cheese, tomato sauce, and dough. If I could end on that note, I'll say that you should definitely try this pie, but do not expect to finish a large with just two people.
