Joe and aunt Barbara

San Francisco is a hell of a long ways away from Tucson. I do not know but for some reason I kept thinking San Francisco can not be that far if I can drive to and from LA in 3 days and still have plenty of dancing time. Well I was wrong, I was so wrong it is not funny.  I found out how wrong I was after two days of travel one way ha-ha!. We did have fun along the way though: I listened to Joe brag about how he has been driving for 40 years, how he has a commercial driver’s license, how many of the drivers should not be on the road and how I should not tell him how to drive. Joe is a rather confident man, but not an avid traveler I must say I feel bad now that I asked him to accompany me on this rather sensitive journey of mine. This is the first time in all the time I traveled with a male companion that I disagreed with them.

Our first stop was at Joe's uncle and aunt's in Laguna beach where we originally had planned to spend the night. Our plans changed once we realize we would be loosing much needed road time by retiring early, so we had dinner and got back on the road.
