The Beaches of Aliso Viejo

Another of my weekend getaways saw me going to California to visit my friend Byron who is also a Travbuddy (www.travbuddy.com/Brashed). Given the short time I had over the weekend, we did not spend much time in Aliso Viejo where Byron lives (besides the accommodations of course, (smile). I must say he has a great home with such ambiance and style. I found out he likes African wildlife and Egyptian mythology the combination was quite interesting. Beside his house, we also visited Aliso beach which was very quiet in the early hours of the morning.
Aliso Viejo is a city in Orange County, California.
The sun was just rising and the sky was gloomy - as if to warn of the pending rain. There were a few people coming to the beach and others setting for a day at the beach. It was nice to see the waves begin to build and watch as people carry loads of items to the beach, very interesting. In Europe and most parts of the world, people do not carry as many things to the beach as the Americans do. I saw a couple carry tent's chairs, huge coolers, BBQ grill, buckets of fruits, hot dogs, ketchup, cartons of beer and soft drinks etc. They literally had a cart pulling this stuff down to the beach. I could not tell if they were planning more than just that day at the beach or a whole month - I was taken aback.
