Northwest to the Rescue?

I put a question mark on the title because every time I fly Northwest something bad happens. However I am planning another trip from AUS to EVV and it looks like the least expensive and most direct flight will be Northwest to Memphis connecting with Cape Air to Evansville.
If Cape Air isn't familiar to you, don't feel alone. I hadn't head of them until I started flying to Evansville. On my last flight the American pilot told us to look out the window at the Cape Air plane parked at the gate. He said it's the same airplane that was used on the TV Show Wings. He claims after NBC cancelled the show it was put back into service. So if you've seen Wings, you know how big the Cape Air planes are... so will I or won't I?
