Governor's Inn

We all know that backpacking through Europe is an inexpensive way to travel. But as you get older, you want a little comfort and tasty food.
Colonial Bargain!
The Governor's Inn is a motel operated by Colonial Williamsburg. It is located just a five minute walk from the village and nearby to restaurants on Route 60 (like Cracker Barrel) and Colonial Parkway. The place turned out to be a real bargain! My friend and I booked the Ghosts & Legends Package, which included with the (very affordable) price of the room unlimited entry to Colonial Williamsburg, a free Ghost Tour, and a complimentary dinner at one of the taverns in town, which was amazing! The room itself was pretty standard, similar to what you would find at an EconoLodge or Howard Johnsons. The Continental Breakfast was actually pretty extensive for a motel in this class, even including hard-boiled eggs. Why anyone would stay at a place not affiliated with Colonial Williamsburg is a mystery to me, because with the great rates and everything that comes with the room, it is a real bargain!
