Classy, bright hotel
The Hotel Botaniek in Bruges is a lovely little place near the Markt Square. The manager is a very nice woman who was not only helpful, but put up with my friend's mom calling twice in the middle of the night. (She forgot to consider the time difference when she called). The breakfast room is delightful, with good food, and little chocolate puddings offered to boot. A nice and tasty Belgian touch! (Belgian chocolate is the best after all... sorry Switzerland) The rooms were bright but small and the walls thin. I looked into booking this place for a subsequent trip to Bruges, but the price had gone up considerably since my first visit so we booked elsewhere. Still, if you have a little leeway to your budget it's a perfectly nice place to stay.
