Last camp stop for this year (for Rob anyway)
Leisurely start to the day at Estella & Paul's. Showery drive up to first stop at garden centre tea shop just outside St Austell. A pause in the morning to digest the paper. Found nice campsite between Plymouth & Kingsbridge near Modbury on our second attempt. First one looked abit dire after what we've got used to. Spent a couple of hours in the sun by the tent digesting more Sunday paper. Think they must be made for people who have all day on a Sunday to read it. Drove down to Salcomber harbour front at tea time to take in the crowds and their boats and people watch. A crowd of local teen girls nearby having loud girly talk before they took off like a flock of birds onto the ferry. Drive back to tent after a very nice pastie bought from a couple moved from Solihull to run a delicatessan. Travelled via Hope Cove. Enjoyed the sea there a a couple of kids surfing the rebound waves off the sea wall. Met a car towing a BIG caravan in the narrow lanes on way back in the dusk. Was looking for the site that he'd booked into but not brought the directions!! Seemed remarkably cheerful when I told him he wouldn't get through, there were no sites that way and he'd have to turn round.
