Speedway into the city

This is a HUGE flag!
Where I live in the UK it has clean air, it's cold all the time and people can drive. Mexico is the complete opposite! When you arrive in a new country you are generally relying on what people told you before hand and what you've seen on TV. In this case, I thought the place was full of chickens, old cars and people with moustaches. I was right on the first two :)

At the airport my friend Abril and her boy friend Manual pick me up in his new, silver sporty Pontiac. I honestly have never been so scared in my life! The roads were bumpy and he drove flat out, swerving between lanes, braking hard one moment and flooring it the next. As I gripped the hand rails of the car, I managed to glimpse a view of tall modern buildings as they blurred passed accompanied by commentary from Abril, who seemed unphased by the rally driving happening right next to her.

1 hour later and I was lying on a blow up mattress in a home with out doors,.. exhausted!
