The first stop is somewhat up the hill there is an old fortress overlooking the
We are supposed to drive all the way up to the entrance of the fortress but the minibus give up on the muddy road and slips. We have to walk up to the fortress instead. Getting there I once again got to admit it is pretty to look out at the landscape and the city all covered in snow.
The fortress got some splendid view over the town and the landscape around it. And there are some interesting looking old constructions around but it is some what of a ruin and not up to the top shape it must have been in the old days. At the back of the fortress is a couple of donkeys walking around and eating across from an old wagon. You kind of think it is a part of the exhibition of the place - but I am not really sure if such a wagon is still in use there is a lot of horse drawn wagon running around on the Romanian country roads - so you never know.
After having enjoyed the place it is time to make it back to the car - it is down on a pretty slippery road so you have to take it slow - otherwise you would need a spare set of pants to change into because the first would get covered in mud. The hike down is a bit difficult but the view of the fortress and the forests is really pretty in the snow and driving down you would have missed this - so I guess it turn out ok with the bus not being able to make it up there. I would probably have had another view on this subject if 'I had actually slipped on the way down though.
