Leura Waterfalls
So I asked to have the day off and I was so excited to go that I woke up at 2 am and looked at my mobile that it's not time to get up yet. Anyway, I picked up Kurt from his friend's house in Parramatta just before 9 am and I drove us to the Blue Mountains. We first went to Leura where we stopped for morning tea and had an egg and bacon pie with a strong latte each then we drove to the Leura Falls, parked my car and did some hiking there. He saw some lizards and reminisced when he was a young boy and I told him about our bull ants and if we saw them not to go near them as they'll spray a toxic fluid and your skin will go red, itchy and in pain! But I saw a spider that mimicked a dangerous ant, it had a black tummy and red legs and head, much like a fierce ant, but I told Kurt that it was mimicry in nature at work there.

I didn't take a photo of it! Next time maybe :-) Then after this Kurt and I went to lunch then we went to Katoomba and after some directions from a lady in a shop we walked up the main street until we got to the pub. We had two beers outside which was nice then we kept on as I wanted to go to the Railway, but when we got there it was already 4:55 pm and they closed at 5 pm. So we just took some photos outside the complex. This one will be for next time for me! Believe it or not I had only been to Echo Point to view the Three Sisters of Blue Mountains and that's all the tourist spot I'd been to previously. Anyway, we drove home and I dropped him off later to a hostel in Kings Cross, waited for him outside, had Thai for dinner then one beer at a pub nearby. Then we said our goodbyes! :)
