Spontaneous Travelling - Fun indeed
I have been asked many times if I consider myself spontaneous! Well I guess the word is relative depending on what the situation, circumstance or occasion is. I like to do things on impulse and they normally make sense to me, but to a more practical person I'm nothing but inconsiderate. Well in
Beyond, knowledge, exposure and fulfillment are the people one meets when they travel: the friends and strangers who remain part of your memories. Travels are journeys into new friendships; they remain in your picture - that is why I document my travels in photography.
There is a powerful sense in doing so, they speak a thousand words. As one of the Travbuddies put it "A journey is best measured in friends rather than in miles"
Over the Easter holidays, my dearest friend Guy called me to see if we could meet- lunch I said, "will you have lunch with me?" 'Yes baby girl, he said' and that was it. After lunch we packed bags and headed for a great weekend at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. We discovered an accommodation and destination that many would otherwise take for granted. One might ask, how can that be classified as travel? it is within your town. But travel involves anytime you leave your home/habitat/village/town/nation/country to spend time elsewhere!
In my case, it is a thirst quencher, it is a breath of fresh air, it is new knowledge and it is powerful communion.
Happy Travels!
