mpourzti is a fortress, located 300 meters from the old city of nafplio!
it was built in 1471 by italians & it's 1st name was castello dello soglio! its name now in turkish-arabic means 'island fortress'. once was prisons, in 60's became an extra luxury hotel, today is used as a touristic sight & during the summer exhibitions of art or little concerts are taking plave there!
