Reflections on Edinburgh
November 24, 2006
I started work here at the end of July 2006 and finixhed at the end of November of that year. I lived near Murrayfield and worked just off Princes Street. I was there during the comedy festival when the whole town was buzzing, would thoroughly recommend it, but book your hotel as far in advance as you can. Reginald D Hunter (from U.S.) & Rhys Darby (from New Zealand) were highlights for me. I did a lot of the tourist stuff while I was there, I visited the castle, grassmarket, camera obscura. I did the open top bus tour where the travel guide was from Australia, bit surreal. :) I didn't go exploring outside the city at all, apart from flying home to Dublin every second weekend.
