I worked here for 4 months...loved it. Lots to see and do. I went to loads of shows at the comedy festival, Rhys Darby & Reginald D Hunter were brilliant.

The Tower of Refuge, as seen from the Central Promenade in Douglas

I've been working here since November last year. If you love the sea, this is the place to come. I get to walk on the beach every morning before work. Can't say I've ever done that before...

The weather up to now has been changeable, but even with cold windy weather its still a beautiful place. I'd like to work somewhere sunny for a while though. All my locations so far have been pretty grim, weather-wise...:) The scenery reminds me most of the west of Ireland, where you can stop your car, turn off the engine, and hear absolutely nothing. If its not windy, there is physically no sound.

I've been going out to a live music bar every Thursday for the past few weeks, I'd love to get up and play with my one-man band. The first time I went there I thought a got a few strange glances from people, I think its because the IoM is so small every one knows every one else. They're like, "hmmm, a stranger. You'd better ride on out of town, boy!" Well, that last bit is a line from every western I've ever seen, its not quite true here, but you never know. Has anyone seen that movie The Wicker Man...:)
